Landscaping and Grounds

What We Do

Landscaping and Grounds provides landscape maintenance and grounds services to all CCSD schools and administrative buildings. In addition to the main landscape crew, the department is comprised of additional support teams including: irrigation technicians, equipment operators, athletic field crews, tree crews, and a mower shop team.

Landscaping and Grounds Zones

The Landscaping and Grounds department is geographically divided into three Zones that provide services to all CCSD schools and administrative buildings. Each zone is dedicated to providing the highest quality of services in a timely manner. Landscaping and grounds requests at any location must be submitted online through FAMIS. Additionally, each school and administrative building has a Facilities Manager, who serves as the primary contact for that facility in the event of a landscaping and grounds emergency.

Service Level Agreement (SLA)

Assembly Bill 469 requires the Clark County School District to allocate at least 85 percent of unrestricted funds to school strategic budget workbooks for the 2018-2019 school year and prescribes that the Board of School Trustees must approve any authority transferred to schools to carry out responsibilities. On January 11, 2018, the Board of School Trustees approved the transfer of authority for carrying out certain responsibilities through the service level agreement (SLA) process and the transfer of funds to school budgets.
